Less is More?

Not true in this case: More comfort equals more fun in the long run. All aspects of the Ventoux frame - weight, geometry, carbon ply application - were targeted for relaxed but fast long distance riding. We succeeded technically and in perfect form, for which the Eurobike Award is excellent proof. Good design is not accidental; it's a STEVENS feature.

Double Chamber Technology

In order to better handle the applied loads, frame main tubes and fork legs are devided into two chambers by an inner reinforcement rib. In model year 2015 riders of the top road bike models Ventoux and Xenon and carbon MTB hardtail Sonora 2.0 will benefit from this feature.

High Modulus Carbon Fibers

Only the very best materials are used for the highest quality STEVENS carbon frames - so called high modulus carbon fibres. They offer a perfect combination of maximum toughness and elasticity. This way they provide maximum lateral stiffness for best forward drive and a high amount of comfort. Result: incredibly light and enormously stiff frames.

Tapered Seat Tube

The seat tube tapers from top to bottom. At the top it fits a slim 27.2mm seatpost that offers some flex and therefore increases comfort especially when riding over rough ground. At the bottom the large diameter nicley flows into the bottom bracket shell and downtube to provide great stiffness and drivetrain efficiency.


Electronic shifting components are already well established with road bikes. Incredible fast and reliable gear changes and minimum maintenance are a real asset not only at the Tour de France or in Cyclocross Worldcups. This is why most STEVENS road frames are "Di2 ready" - meaning they are prepared to integrate batteries and electric cables rather than conventional wires. Electronic shifting also has been introduced to MTBs. Sonora 2.0 is now designed for Shimano's new XTR Di2 electronic shifting.

Tapered Steerer / Tapered Headtube

Fork shaft (or steerer tube) and head tube are tapered, meaning their diameter increases from top to bottom resulting in a conical shape. The diameter needs to be bigger at the bottom since this is where higher stress is applied. Riders will benefit from a noticeable higher steering precision almost without weight penalty. Also tapered steerers feature a smoother force transfer (like forces caused by hard braking) to the downtube than forks with a continuous 1 1/8" diameter.

Comfort Carbon Seatpost

Who wants to be fast does not need to suffer – especially not when their STEVENS Carbon road bike is equipped with a Scorpo Carbon SL Comfort Seatpost which filters annoying road buzz. Its diameter of 27.2mm only and dedicated fibre orientation enable better flex without adding weight or loosing stability. By the way: the post can also be retrofitted.

Full Carbon Fork

The most intelligent way of lightweight design for STEVENS engineers is to use carbon forks with 100% carbon fibers that run all way though from dropout to steerer tube in one single piece. This results in an amazing riding experience on and off-road: Lightweight, knife-sharp steering precision effortless climbing and maximum lateral stiffness even when combined with disc brakes.

Flexible Kabelführung

Damit Sie Ihr Bike so fahren können, wie Sie das möchten, haben wir die Zugführung an unseren Bikes flexibel gehalten. An den breiten, und damit montagefreundlichen Rahmen-Öffnungen für die Schalt- und Bremszüge können Sie entweder zwei, einen oder auch gar keinen Zug durchführen – dafür gibt es die entsprechenden Kappen. Auch absenkbare Sattelstützen/Dropper Posts lassen sich so einfach nachrüsten.
