Fit For Fun.

Even some motorbikes don't have as much torque (75Nm/55lb-ft) as the powerful Bosch Performance CX e-motor. Prestigious shift and brake components like these are usually found on high-quality mountain bikes. But its true potential is brought forward by the STEVENS add-ons - mainly the motor mounted in an angled position, super-low battery placement and sporty-but-comfortable seating position.

500-Wh-Akku

Hier wird über Erfolg oder Misserfolg der E-Mobilität entschieden. Also setzt STEVENS bei seinen Top-Modellen Akkus mit satten 500 Wattstunden Energiegehalt für bis zu 215 Kilometer Reichweite (laut Herstellerinfo; bitte beachten Sie den Bosch-Reichweiten-Rechner) ein. Das geht sogar ohne großen Gewichtsnachteil: Das Bosch PowerPack 500 zum Beispiel ist gegenüber dem PowerPack 400 nur um 100 Gramm schwerer – darum ist der große „Tank“ unser Top-Tipp für Pedelec-Piloten, die auch vor bergigen Strecken nicht zurückschrecken. Und unsere E-Fullys mit Shimano STEPS-Antrieb sind für Alpen-Abenteuer wohl gerüstet.

Bosch Performance Line CX-Antrieb

Das muss man erlebt haben, wie dieser speziell für Gelände-Pedelecs konzipierte Motor schon bei nur 20 Kurbelumdrehungen/Minute bärenstarken Schub bringt. Mit maximal 75 Newtonmeter Drehmoment und bis zum 3-fachen der Fahrer-Power ist der CX von Bosch auf Trails aller Art ein guter und zuverlässiger Freund. An STEVENS Bikes – leicht gedreht – schön in den Rahmen integriert.

QR15-Steckachse vorn

Die „15“ steht für den Achsdurchmesser, das „QR“ für „Quick Release“, also Schnellspanner – und zusammen für die funktionellste Methode, das Vorderrad in der (Feder-)Gabel zu verankern. Die Vorteile sind bestechend: hohe Steifigkeit, präzise Bremsscheiben-Positionierung und kinderleichte Bedienung. Also stattet STEVENS fast alle Mountainbikes und sogar die hochwertigsten Trekking-, Crossbikes und Pedelecs damit aus. Vor allem bei den 29“-MTBs wird sogar noch die Einbaubreite erhöht – von 100 auf 110 mm, das ist noch steifer.

Hydroforming

Using water or oil pressure aluminium tubes are transformed from their original round shape into their ideal shape determined by STEVENS engineers to perfectly withstand any load without any weight penalty. Riders of allround bikes and pedelecs will benefit from a better stability caused by hydroforming even when they are touring with heavy luggage.

Tapered Steerer / Tapered Headtube

Fork shaft (or steerer tube) and head tube are tapered, meaning their diameter increases from top to bottom resulting in a conical shape. The diameter needs to be bigger at the bottom since this is where higher stress is applied - especially when the bike has a higher total weight due to luggage or an e-drive and battery. Also tapered steerers feature a smoother force transfer (like forces caused by hard braking) to the downtube than forks with a continuous 1 1/8" diameter.

Triple Butted, Double Butted

Meaning a frame tube has three or two different wall thicknesses along its length. Triple butted (TB) is the usual technology with STEVENS high-quality frames.
Tubes with different wall thicknesses are optimally adjusted to certain ways of manufacturing or to withstand specific loads. Where the highest loads occur or where tubes are welded, walls are the thickest. Butted tubes allow frame weight to be lower by several hundred grams.

Hydraulic Disc Brakes – Trekking

There is no more reliable brake system than hydraulic disc brakes - that is why we strongly advice everyone, who is riding their cross, trekking- or city bike 12 months a year to choose one of our models with the „DISC“ suffix. Brake power is easy to modulate and does not fade a bit in the wet. Also the brakes are almost maintenance-free. And your local STEVENS dealer will gladly explain to you what you need to take care of when removing and re-installing a wheel
