This pedelec is a true workhorse. The name tag "PT5" stands for the Powertube 500 battery which is neatly integrated into the downtube to inconspicuously provide 500Wh of energy for all kinds of demands. You benefit from easy to operate, low-maintenance specs that can take any every-day (ab)use. And please don't worry: The new Active Line Plus e-motor really is that silent.

PowerTube 500

Das Zauberwort heißt Integration: Bei den STEVENS Pedelecs mit dem Namenszusatz „PT5“ ist der PowerTube-Akku gut geschützt im voluminösen Rahmenunterrohr verborgen – und bietet die volle 500-Wattstunden-Kapazität für lange und noch längere Touren. Dank einer verdeckten Ladebuchse lässt er sich sogar am Bike aufladen. Und das kräftig dimensionierte Rahmenrohr steigert nebenbei auch noch Steifigkeit, Fahrsicherheit und Lenkpräzision.

Even when you can't see the strut that connects the pannier rack to the fender - it is there. The strut runs below the fender and provides - in connection with the rack mounted to the fender - more stability and lateral stiffness.

Integrated Pannier Rack Mount dropout

In collaboration with pannier rack specialists Tubus and Racktime STEVENS' engineers have developed a dropout that also serves as an elegant pannier rack mount. It not only looks fantastic, it also ensures that forces caused by luggage or large amounts of groceries are evenly transmitted inot the frame - resulting in a more stable and safer design.

Hydroforming

Using water or oil pressure aluminium tubes are transformed from their original round shape into their ideal shape determined by STEVENS engineers to perfectly withstand any load without any weight penalty. Riders of allround bikes and pedelecs will benefit from a better stability caused by hydroforming even when they are touring with heavy luggage.

Triple Butted, Double Butted

Meaning a frame tube has three or two different wall thicknesses along its length. Triple butted (TB) is the usual technology with STEVENS high-quality frames.
Tubes with different wall thicknesses are optimally adjusted to certain ways of manufacturing or to withstand specific loads. Where the highest loads occur or where tubes are welded, walls are the thickest. Butted tubes allow frame weight to be lower by several hundred grams.

Adjustable Dropouts

High quality STEVENS frames equipped with a gear hub or Pinion 18-gear box come with adjustable dropouts. These make correct tensioning of the chain or drive belt very easy. Adjustment via headless set screw and Allen key allows very precise alignement. Two fastening bolts on each side provide tight grip. On bikes with derailleur shifting the chain is tensioned by the derailleur.

Hydraulic Disc Brakes (Trekking)

There is no more reliable brake system than hydraulic disc brakes - that is why we strongly advice everyone, who is riding their cross, trekking- or city bike 12 months a year to choose one of our models with the „DISC“ suffix. Brake power is easy to modulate and does not fade a bit in the wet. Also the brakes are almost maintenance-free. And your local STEVENS dealer will gladly explain to you what you need to take care of when removing and re-installing a wheel

Di2-ready

Elektronische Schaltungen haben sich am Rennrad und am Mountainbike neben den klassischen mechanischen Schaltungen längst etabliert. Bestechend schnelle und zuverlässige Gangwechsel bei minimalem Wartungsaufwand machen sich eben nicht nur bei der Tour de France oder im Cyclocross-Worldcup oder auf den Cross Country-Worldcup-Strecken bezahlt. Und genau darum sind viele Rennrad- und Mountainbike-Rahmen von STEVENS bereits „Di2-ready“ – sprich: für die nahtlose Integration von Akkus und Kabeln (anstelle der herkömmlichen Seilzüge) vorbereitet. Und selbst für seine edle Alfine-Nabenschaltung bietet Shimano eine Elektronik-Version an.

Verstellbare Ausfallenden

Bei den besonders hochwertigen STEVENS Rahmen, die mit einer Nabenschaltung oder dem 18-Gang-Getriebe von Pinion ausgestattet sind, lassen sich Kette oder Antriebsriemen mittels verstellbarer Ausfallenden auf die korrekte Spannung bringen. Das Einstellen per Madenschrauben und Inbusschlüssel ermöglicht eine besonders genaue Ausrichtung. Und die beiden Feststellschrauben an jeder Seite sorgen für sicheren Halt. Bei Modellen mit Kettenschaltung wird das Spannen der Kette vom Schaltwerk übernommen.
