STEVENS' engineers specifically designed this smooth-rolling every-day use pedelec with derailleur shifters to work with the new extra-compact and silent Shimano Steps E6100 motor. The battery nicely hugs the downtube - in all three available frame designs - to enable a low center of gravity and therefore nimble handling. The functional full street kit also contributes to make electrically assisted cycling as fun as possible.

Tecnologia

Even when you can't see the strut that connects the pannier rack to the fender - it is there. The strut runs below the fender and provides - in connection with the rack mounted to the fender - more stability and lateral stiffness.

500Wh Akku

Hier wird über Erfolg oder Misserfolg der E-Mobilität entschieden. Also setzt STEVENS bei seinen Top-Modellen Akkus mit satten 500 Wattstunden Energiegehalt für bis zu 215 Kilometer Reichweite (laut Herstellerinfo; bitte beachten Sie den Bosch-Reichweiten-Rechner) ein. Das geht sogar ohne großen Gewichtsnachteil: Das Bosch PowerPack 500 zum Beispiel ist gegenüber dem PowerPack 400 nur um 100 Gramm schwerer – darum ist der große „Tank“ unser Top-Tipp für Pedelec-Piloten, die auch vor bergigen Strecken nicht zurückschrecken.

Integrated Pannier Rack Mount dropout

In collaboration with pannier rack specialists Tubus and Racktime STEVENS' engineers have developed a dropout that also serves as an elegant pannier rack mount. It not only looks fantastic, it also ensures that forces caused by luggage or large amounts of groceries are evenly transmitted inot the frame - resulting in a more stable and safer design.

Hydroforming

Using water or oil pressure aluminium tubes are transformed from their original round shape into their ideal shape determined by STEVENS engineers to perfectly withstand any load without any weight penalty. Riders of allround bikes and pedelecs will benefit from a better stability caused by hydroforming even when they are touring with heavy luggage.

Triple Butted, Double Butted

Meaning a frame tube has three or two different wall thicknesses along its length. Triple butted (TB) is the usual technology with STEVENS high-quality frames.
Tubes with different wall thicknesses are optimally adjusted to certain ways of manufacturing or to withstand specific loads. Where the highest loads occur or where tubes are welded, walls are the thickest. Butted tubes allow frame weight to be lower by several hundred grams.

Smooth Welded

Additional step in welding. The first, rippled weld, typical for aluminium, is covered with a second smoother weld. This not only improves looks but also lowers the risk of notches in this spot, which makes the frames more durable.

Hydraulic Disc Brakes (Trekking)

There is no more reliable brake system than hydraulic disc brakes - that is why we strongly advice everyone, who is riding their cross, trekking- or city bike 12 months a year to choose one of our models with the „DISC“ suffix. Brake power is easy to modulate and does not fade a bit in the wet. Also the brakes are almost maintenance-free. And your local STEVENS dealer will gladly explain to you what you need to take care of when removing and re-installing a wheel
