The Caleta 9.2 is based on a frame design that has been completely re-engineered from the ground up, combining the highest build quality with modern design and low weight. It forms the “sturdy, load-bearing backbone”, according to Radfahren magazine. A multitude of mounting points for bikepacking accessories on the top tube, down tube and seat tube, as well as the stiff aluminium fork, allow for easy conversion into a packhorse for extended cycling trips.
An important aspect for a reliable touring bike: the low-maintenance drivetrain, which riders can rely on at all times. In practice, with around 25 kilograms of luggage loaded onto it by the Radfahren editorial team, the rigid frame and fork construction proves its worth. “Easy to ride and handle”, with a balanced combination of smooth straight-line stability and agility, is the verdict of the Radfahren test editors.
