Anyone looking for a versatile, aero-optimized bike for short and medium distance triathlons should thoroughly test the new STEVENS Arcalis, recommends Triathlon Magazine.
The lime green Arcalis can be found in the STEVENS custom section for self-configuration starting from 2,099 euros. Triathlon Magazine’s test model with the electronic Shimano Ultegra Di2 came to € 4,198. "And with this setup, this agile bike could convince everyone of its talents," wrote Triathlon Magazine.
The Arcalis, nevertheless, allows for an important yet quite simple conversion with triathlon handlebars, the editorial continued. Only the saddle should be exchanged for greater comfort. The long head tube is made more for comfort rather than for an extreme aero position.
The Arcalis has an aero-optimized frame and seatpost, integrated fork, rim brakes (rear at bottom bracket height) from 2,099 euros and is available in seven sizes from 50 to 62 centimeters. The frame is set up for Shimano electronic Di2 shifting with a total of nine bike group configurations. The frameset is available for 1,399 euros.
