“With the E-Juke 7.8.1 FEQ, STEVENS has produced the lightest and most affordable touring bike suitable for long-distance travel in the test field; with a total weight of 140 kg, a 25 kg load capacity on the rear rack and its excellent handling characteristics, it is well-suited for multi-day trips,” according to the ElektroRad editorial team.

The testers also highlighted the well-thought-out, practical specification package. This includes the 120-millimetre air suspension fork, the powerful Bosch Performance Line PX drive unit  and the reliable Shimano CUES U6000 groupset with ten gears, which impresses with its “hill-friendly gearing”. In terms of comfort, too, the E-Juke 7.8.1 FEQ leaves little to be desired: a dropper post, high beam and 60-millimetre-wide all-round tyres are all on board, as are stable brakes that grip securely even with a heavy load. The top rating of five out of five points in the ‘Safety’ and ‘E-drive’ categories underlines the overall very positive impression.

The robust luggage rack, with a load capacity of up to 25 kilograms, provides a stable and secure base even for large panniers. In combination with the hardtail frame and its optimised geometry, the “agile rear end without significant load shifts affecting steering behaviour” ensures exceptionally high riding safety even with a heavy load.

However, the versatile E-Crossover bike doesn’t just show off its strengths when travelling. The test editors describe it – in their own words – as a “jack-of-all-trades” that is equally “suitable for commuting, after-work rides or running errands”. In addition to the excellent overall score of 1.5, the ElektroRad editorial team recognised this versatility with the Best Value Award.
