From May 2026, Bosch eBike Systems will be releasing another software upgrade for the latest generation of the Bosch Performance Line CX BDU384Y and Performance Line PX DU347Y drive units – bringing even more power to the trail.
The best part is: installation is really simple via the Bosch eBike Flow app, with no need to visit a workshop.
Even more torque, even more assistance
Even in its standard configuration, the Performance Line CX (BDU384Y) delivers impressive performance. With the latest update, Bosch has taken things up a notch:
- 120 Nm maximum torque instead of 100 Nm
- Up to 600% support for your own pedalling effort instead of 400% (available up to a maximum of 15 km/h)
The new maximum power ratings are particularly noticeable on E-MTBs during technically demanding uphill sections: greater thrust at a lower cadence ensures confident control and riding enjoyment in any situation, but conversely can also lead to increased wear on the drivetrain components.
The Performance Line PX (BDU347Y) also benefits from the new Performance Upgrade 2.0. Whilst the maximum torque (90 Nm) and power (700 W) remain unchanged, the maximum assistance can be increased to 600 per cent. As with the Performance Line CX (BDU384Y), maximum assistance is available up to a speed of 15 km/h and depends on the selected riding mode (Turbo, eMTB+ or Auto), its settings and the rider’s effort.
Available over-the-air – no workshop visit required
The software upgrade will be available free of charge from early May 2026 via the latest version of the Bosch eBike Flow app. Thanks to the over-the-air update, the new power can be conveniently activated from home – quickly, securely and without having to visit a specialist retailer.
Good to know: Adjusting any settings in the Bosch eBike Flow app is entirely optional. If you are happy with the factory settings or the customisations you have already made to the riding modes, there is no need to take any action. This also applies to all riders who use their Bosch eBike without connecting to the app.

To benefit from the upgrade, simply download and install the latest version of the Bosch eBike Flow app. You can then use the ‘Custom riding modes’ tab to adjust the torque and maximum assistance settings for each of your selected riding modes to suit your needs, up to the newly unlocked maximum values.
