Cant takes 13th national Belgian title, Crabbé and Hendrikx secure national U23 titles

It was the weekend of national decisions: in addition to the German Cyclocross Championships, the neighboring countries of Belgium and the Netherlands also held their national CX championships.

While Marcel Meisen took his sixth German national title in a row, it was STEVENS rider Sanne Cant (IKO-Crelan) who scored her thirteenth national title during the race weekend in the Belgian town of Middlekerke. Initially part of a leading group that broke away right after the start, Sanne managed to pass eventual runner-up Marion Norbert Riberolle as the race progressed, to claim the gold medal and her incredible thirteenth consecutive national title, leaving behind Marion by nearly 70 seconds.

In the same race, it was 21-year-old STEVENS rider Kiona Crabbé, from the successful Crelan-IKO cyclocross youth academy, who took a remarkable eighth place overall – and the victory in the U23 classification. In the Juniors race, it was 18-year-old STEVENS rider and UEC Cyclocross European Champion Aaron Dockx (IKO-Crelan) who made for an excellent result for the team at the Belgian Championships with a second place overall.

At the Dutch Cyclocross Championships in Rucphen it was 22-year-old UCI World Cup winner and STEVENS rider Mees Hendrikx (IKO-Crelan) who scored a third place overall, taking the U23 title in the process. For the STEVENS supported Team 777 with riders Annemarie Worst, Aniek van Alphen and Inge van der Heijden things did not went to plan at the Dutch nationals.
