Designed for long distances, the bike impressed the test editorial team above all with its versatility and attractive price-performance ratio.
The testers also emphasised the low weight of the marathon racer. "6.99 kilograms - a top value for an endurance model", according to RennRad magazine. This is thanks in part to the frame manufactured using SSL technology, which promises low weight with outstanding comfort properties thanks to an optimised carbon fibre layup and refined resin use.
The sporty, balanced riding position of the Xenith, which the test riders described as "fully suitable for long distances", also fits in with this. A comparatively slack steering angle, a large wheelbase and long chainstays ensure outstanding smoothness at high speeds.
The bike from the STEVENS Custom Bikes configurator scored top individual ratings in the areas of frame and smoothness. The test bike also scored full marks for the componentry. The Red AXS groupset - the top model from the American component supplier SRAM - impresses with its well thought-out ergonomics of the brake levers, fast gear changes and high braking power; the Zipp Firecrest 303 wheels offer high lateral stiffness, robustness and low susceptibility to crosswinds.
The long-distance-optimised cockpit with carbon fibre handlebars and seat post was also impressive: "Our testers awarded extra bonus points for the top ergonomics of the FSA Metron 4D ACR handlebars made of carbon," according to RennRad magazine.
Full marks were also awarded for the Xenith's excellent price-performance ratio. The convincing overall package was worth the "all-round tip" and a full 10 out of 10 points in the "RennRad verdict".
The Xenith can be customised in the STEVENS Custom Bikes configurator according to your own wishes and ideas using the best parts on the market. It starts at 3399 euros. The excellent configuration of the RennRad magazine test bike can be found here.
