HAND IN HAND

Made in Germany

We are committed to quality. We design all our bikes in Hamburg and build most of them at the STEVENS assembly plant in northern Germany and across the European Union. It is just a few steps from our designers’ offices to the STEVENS workshop for bespoke road bikes, where our high-end bikes are literally created before our very eyes. Our philosophy is: ‘One mechanic, one bike’. That is true passion for the highest precision.

We work closely with first-class suppliers from all over the world. Yet we claim that the majority of STEVENS bikes are created in Germany. We assemble over 60% of our bikes in Germany, and 85% of them within the European Union. We build all STEVENS wheels ourselves and we’ve established a successful Custom Bike Program that makes us market leader in customized racing bikes and cyclocross bikes in Germany – “Made in Hamburg”, of course.

SHORT SUPPLY CHAINS

In Hamburg, when you like someone, they effectively become a member of the extended family. We value long-term, trust-based partnerships. Many of our suppliers are business partners manufacturing in Germany. For instance, the innovative lights on our urban and trekking bikes come from Busch+Müller in Meinerzhagen, in the Sauerland region. Our SKS mudguards come from Sundern, also in Sauerland.

Pinion from Stuttgart supply our innovative 12-speed and 18-speed gearboxes that are genuine milestones on the path to longer-lasting bicycles. The legendary Speedhub, a transmission hub that will get you to the end of the world if you want to go there, is made by Rohloff in Kassel. And our pedelecs get their smooth, powerful motors from by Bosch, whose main office is in Gerlingen.

Close customer links

We ride ourselves on Germany and Europe’s roads, trails and cycle paths all year round. In Germany alone, we have a network of 600 specialist retailers, who are ahead of the competition by more than a wheel length when it comes to competence and service. We have long-term links to countless loyal customers who give us valuable feedback… well before the advent of social media.

This is how we remain acutely aware of the requirements and demands of the highly discerning German bicycle market. Armed with this knowledge we deliver on their wishes. By constantly getting it right, we frequently receive high approval ratings in readers’ brand preferences in cycling magazines.
