“Very good” – the Xenith in the Velomotion practical test

In the Velomotion test, the STEVENS Xenith impressed above all with its distinctive frame design, its balanced seating and steering geometry, and the wide range of customisation options available in the STEVENS Custom Bikes configurator.

Designed for long hours in the saddle, this endurance bike from the STEVENS Custom Road range features a distinctly sporty yet comfortable geometry and also impressed in testing with its high frame stiffness. This results in highly efficient pedalling and excellent stability even at top speeds.

The 32-millimetre tyre clearance allows for effective absorption of road bumps. According to Velomotion, this highlights the bike’s ‘versatile character’ and allows for greater freedom when choosing routes.

Aside from the hard facts, the Xenith also impresses the Velomotion editorial team with the design of this custom bike. “With simple, partly angular tube shapes, the frame looks harmonious and elegant; the transition from the top tube to the seat stays is a real eye-catcher,” say the Velomotion test editors.

The Xenith can be customised using the STEVENS Custom Bikes configurator. In addition to the latest Shimano and SRAM component groups, there are three colour options, ten different wheelsets from DT Swiss, Scope and Zipp, and a wide variety of handlebars and stems from Deda and FSA to choose from. “This means the Xenith is practically never an off-the-shelf bike and can be customised without compromise – just like various other models from the ‘Stevens Custom Road’ range, incidentally,” summarises the Velomotion test editorial team. Prices for the Xenith start at just €3,399 with a mechanical Shimano 105 groupset.

The conclusion from the Velomotion test editors is correspondingly positive. Alongside the excellent test rating of “Very Good”, the well-known online magazine writes: “The Stevens Xenith impresses as a no-nonsense, well-balanced racing machine that can be fitted as desired, thereby allowing for maximum individuality in terms of both equipment and fit.”
