The art of a sporty bike like an e-gravel bike is first and foremost to optimally harmonize the sporty requirements such as lightness and handling with the desired natural electronic support. Our engineers have succeeded in this with the E-Getaway. Weighing less than 15 kg, the pedelec can quickly reach top speed despite the motor and battery. This is ensured by the lightweight drive from the German manufacturer Fazua with up to 55 Nm of torque and the 250 Wh battery fully integrated into the down tube.
The combination of lightness and natural electronic support ensure a flat range of 58.8 kilometers and a mountain range of 846 meters in altitude at the highest support level. This was the result of the FOCUS e-gravel bike test. This earns the E-Getaway the test silver medal in the range champion category.
The riding characteristics are also in no way inferior to the power of the sporty pedelec. "The smooth ride is particularly enjoyable on long rides, so you'll be happy to add a few more kilometers once you're on the road. But this bike doesn't shy away from technical passages either," is the verdict of the FOCUS testers. The experts praised in particular the sporty geometry of the light and stiff carbon frame, the high-quality Shimano equipment with GRX drive, the compact design of the unobtrusive drive including battery and the light carbon wheels. The grade 1.3 is the logical consequence.
